Cartoon Workshop with Rick Stomoski at Wood Memorial Library
Wood Memorial Library invites children ages 6 to 12 to join cartoonist, Rick Stromoski, for a “hands-on” cartoon drawing workshop on Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 2-4 PM. Rick is the award winning cartoonist, famous for his “Soup to Nutz” comic strip. He is also an author of children’s books, a card illustrator and more. His workshop will include information and instruction about the art of cartooning, techniques on drawing facial expressions, character development and animals. Each child will go home with a drawing created by the cartoonist. Copies of Rick’s syndicated comic book collection “Soup to Nutz – The First Course” will be for sale. Space is limited. Registration required. The fee for this workshop is $10.00, payable in advance.
*Participants should bring a 9” x 12” sketch pad and a pencil.
