If you love food and drink, join other foodies at the third annual First Town Downtown (FTDT) Taste of Windsor on Saturday, March 9th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Loomis Chaffee's Wilbur Hall.  The evening will be filled with a wide variety of appetizers and main dish samplings donated by Windsor's own unique restaurants, which include Union Street Tavern, Zocco's, Vito's by the Water, Nat Hayden's, Dom's Broad Street Eatery, Windsor 75, Izote, Lilly's Catering, Bart's Beanery, Get Baked and more.

New this year is a chance to win a 1/2 carat diamond and setting valued at $1,500 donated by Bill Selig Jewelers. To qualify, just buy one of 60 FTDT glasses filled with wine and you'll get the wine, your wine glass, a cubic zirconia gem as well as a chance to win the real diamond, all for $25.

You'll also enjoy a wine tasting by Bert's Spirit Shop of Windsor Locks and beer tasting by Burnside Brewing and Back East Brewing. New this year will be Onxy Moonshine offering tasting of their moonshine made right here in CT. The Trey Wilson Trio will be performing throughout the evening. There will also be silent and tea cup auctions throughout the night so you can browse the donated items and get a great deal on some highly sought after gift certificates and other prizes.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. If you are a Windsor restauranteur and haven't yet signed up to participate, go to www.FirstTownDowntown.org to sign up.
