Exchange Club of Windsor Honors Firefighter of the Year
Chief Engineer Robert Farrelly joined the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department in 1972, and was soon promoted to Chief Engineer. Since that time, he continues to stay abreast of the current technology employed on all fire apparatus and has streamlined all preventative maintenance. Bob's communications skills with his company engineers and Chief Officers, insures that any and all repairs are completed in a timely manner.
His oversight and commitment insures that all the equipment heavily relied upon in a fire fight is kept in top notch working condition at all times keeping the firefighter that rely upon it safe at all times. Bob's son Michel and his brother Dennis are also members of the Department serving in various capacities. The Department is extremely proud to have Chief Engineer Robert Farrelly as the WVFD Firefighter of the Year for 2013.
