Town Budget Referendum: May 13

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, between the hours of 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM the Referendum will be held on the 2014/2015 Town of Windsor Annual Budget.  Absentee Ballots are available in the Windsor Town Clerk's office during regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  State law prohibits the Town Clerk from mailing absentee ballots for referendums with less than three weeks notice; as a result, voters must apply in person at the Town Clerk’s Office.  If you are housebound, you may designate someone to hand carry your ballot.  For additional information please call 860-285-1902.

Anyone who is not a registered voter, but is a U.S. Citizen, 18 years or older and owns property assessed at $1,000 or more on the last completed Grand List, may vote on the annual budget at Town Hall.

The Question: SHALL THE ANNUAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2015 IN THE AMOUNT OF $104,538,160 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE WINDSOR TOWN COUNCIL BE ADOPTED?

The vote is by optical scan tabulators - "YES" or "NO"
