GFWC Windsor Woman’s Club hears about the 'Home of the Brave'
Members of the GFWC Windsor Woman’s Club recently heard a presentation by Wendy Pandolfi, and Beverly Regan, members of the Woman’s Club of Danbury/New Fairfield on the "Homes of the Brave" program.
Homes for the Brave is a 42-bed, transitional living program for homeless male veterans and non-veterans located in Bridgeport. 6 to 9 months is the average length of stay. 1 in 3 homeless men is a veteran. This program helps the men return to being productive members of their communities by helping them get jobs and homes.
