NEAM invites all its friends to join in celebrating history, technology and aerospace!
WHAT: The unveiling of the SH-2F Seasprite helicopter
WHEN: Thursday, February 16, 2012, 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: New England Air Museum

DETAILS: The featured SH-2F Seasprite was manufactured in 1985 by Kaman Aerospace Corporation of Bloomfield, and saw service with the U.S. Navy. With the first model introduced in 1962, the SH-2 Seasprite helicopter has had a long and distinguished career originally designed for the rescue of downed airmen at sea with models significantly evolving to become submarine hunters. SH-2s remain in service around the world.
The event will feature remarks from New England Air Museum Executive Director Michael Speciale, as well as representatives from Kaman Aerospace Corporation and local state officials. Guests will also be invited to go inside the helicopter. Refreshments will be served.
